Let's talk about what you're building

Write to me with whatever you have so far, even if it's only an idea and a date. I'd rather hear what you're trying to say than start from a shot list.

If it helps, the form below asks the things I'd ask you anyway, so the first reply can already be useful.

What I do

Campaign

From concept to final image: references, casting, location, art direction on set, photography and post.

Editorial

Fashion stories for publications, and for brands that want to say something longer than an ad.

Look-books and e-commerce

Catalogue and product with the same attention a campaign gets: consistent light, color and judgement across hundreds of images.

Beauty and still life

Beauty, accessories, product and tabletop, in studio or built inside a location.

Runway and events

Show and backstage coverage, with a fast turnaround for press and social.

Creative direction

When the project needs an idea before it needs a camera: concept, prep book and direction of the full team.

How we work

You write

What the images are for, when you need them, and whatever you already have in mind.

The fitting

A call where you tell me what the project has to do and I tell you what it would take. It carries a fee, credited to the project.

Proposal

Approach, scope, team and budget, so you can see what you're saying yes to.

Prep book

References, casting, location, light and shotlist, approved before anyone is booked.

Shoot

With the team the project needs, or inside the one you already have.

Delivery

An edited selection first, then the final files retouched and sized for where they're going.

Where and when

Where I work

I'm based in San Juan and shoot across Puerto Rico. I travel for projects, and travel is quoted inside the proposal rather than added later.

Puerto Rico
United States
Madrid

Timing

A proposal follows within the week.

Projects are booked a month ahead, a campaign and a single day alike. That month is spoken for: casting and fittings, scouting and securing the location, the team the project asks for, and the prep book that lets everyone arrive knowing what we are making.

Permits, rentals and travel sit inside it too, and each of those moves at its own pace rather than ours.

If your date falls sooner, write anyway. Some of it can be compressed and some of it cannot, and I will tell you which before anything is committed.

Tell me about the project

Nothing here is a commitment. The more concrete you can be about dates and scope, the more useful my first answer will be.

If you'd rather skip the form, write to giovannasalernoph@gmail.com.
